Cloning

The process of copying an existing sensor ID number, and in many cases, sensor protocol (as with programmable sensors), to an aftermarket cloneable sensor by using a sensor cloning/programming tool. The copied sensor is intended to appear to the vehicle TPMS receiver as the previously installed/old sensor.
