2nd generation on-board diagnostics (OBD) refers to a vehicle’s self-diagnostic and reporting capability. The OBD-II vehicle port can be used with a TPMS scan tool to download existing sensor ID numbers, and when conducting vehicle relearns (specific applications) via uploading sensor IDs and locations.
