What is TPMS?
A tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) uses sensors in your tires to tell if one or more of your tires are under-inflated. A low tire pressure light or TPMS light on your dash indicates that your air pressure is more than 25% below the manufacturer’s recommended inflation. Continuing to drive with tire pressure that low is very dangerous - it can result in erratic handling, reduced braking capability, and even a vehicle rollover during sudden changes in direction.
